First, you will visit Philae Temple, which stands as a stunning testament to ancient Egyptian architecture and spirituality. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, this temple is set on the picturesque Island of Philae where the shimmering Nile enhances its beauty and mystique. The intricate carvings and hieroglyphs here offer a profound connection to Egypt’s rich history and mythology.

Next, we will visit a closeby ancient obelisk, which although unfinished is the largest Obelisk known to have been constructed to date.
Overnight in Aswan

Get ready for an early morning departure as your Egyptologist guide will pick you up from your hotel before the sun rises to travel to Abu Simbel. This site contains two temples, the Temple of Ramses II and The Temple of Queen Nefertari, also known as Hathor’s Temple. The enormous sandstone statues that make up the front of Ramses II Temple were built to convey the power of Ramses II. Twice a year, in October and February, a solar alignment occurs where the statues in the back of Ramese II’s Temple are illuminated by the sun. Located on the bank of Lake Nasser, these temples were dismantled and moved to higher ground in the 1960’s as the High Dam that was being planned would have flooded them. Following your time at Abu Simbel you will be returned to your hotel.
Overnight in Aswan

Our first stop of the day is to one of the most well-preserved locations from the ancient world, the Temple of Edfu, built to honor Horus, the falcon god. One of the unique parts of this temple is how important the inscriptions are. Not only are they beautiful, but they provide a very clear view into religion, temples, and life in ancient Egypt.

Next we visit the Karnak Temple, which is the second most visited historic place in Egypt after the pyramids. Called the most revered place in Ancient Egypt is located on the eastern bank of the Nile River, opposite Luxor. In ancient Egypt, the construction of the temples always began at the sanctuary, which means that Karnak began in the center and finished building at the entrances to the enclosure.

Finally, our last stop will be visiting the elaborate Luxor Temple at night to be able to appreciate its full effect. Luxor Temple is unique as it was not built to worship a specific deity but is representative of all kings.
