Itinerary of Pyramids and Sakkara Trip

If you only have one day you can spend with us, we recommend our Cairo and Giza tour. You will begin your tour in air-conditioned comfort when our Egyptologist picks you up from your hotel in Cairo and takes you to see some of the oldest mysteries of mankind. You will begin your tour by visiting three of the oldest pyramids in Egypt, Cheops, Chephren and Menkaure. Before stopping for lunch, you will also see one of the most photographed sights on the planet.

It’s time for you to go full-on history geek as you see first-hand the guardian of the Giza Plateau, the Great Sphinx. Fortunately, you’ll have a chance to curate your photos of Giza, the Valley Temple, and the Step Pyramid complex designed by Imhotep over lunch at one of our favorite local haunts in Cairo.

Moving on from lunch we trek over to Memphis, which stood as the first capital of unified Egypt for eight dynasties and is home to one of the world’s largest necropolises. You’ll walk among monuments of all the kings of Egypt such as the Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.

After drinking in all the history Giza, Memphis and Sakkara have to offer, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
