This is another jam packed tour which starts with an Egyptoria Tours representative picking you up from your hotel. The first stop on this Cairo day tour is the Egyptian Museum. A stunning museum inside and out which houses over 250,000 artifacts spanning 5,000 years of history. They have a massive exhibit honoring King Tutankhamen including much of his gold and jewelry which was not discovered until the 1920s.
Stop number two is the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which is located inside the Citadel of Salah El Din. You probably saw the mosque as you came into Cairo as it can be seen from almost any direction coming into the city. This mosque was built during the Ottoman Empire.
Then there will be lunch served at a local restaurant. After lunch, your Egyptoria guide will take you on a tour of Islamic Cairo. There you will be able to explore the Khan El Khalili, a bazaar that attracts both tourists and locals.
After exploring the Islamic are of Cairo you will move on to Coptic Cairo. Some locations you will visit include the Hanging Church, one of the oldest churches in Egypt; the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which is said to be sitting where baby Moses was found; the Church of St. Barbara; and the Church of Abu Serga.
This tour of the different areas concludes in Coptic Cairo and you will be dropped off at your hotel at the end of the day.
